International Sport and Exercise Nutrition Conference 2025

By Tod Barnbrook

In the middle of December, we were delighted to represent Human Kinetics at the recent iteration of the annual International Sport and Exercise Nutrition Conference (ISENC). A quick trip from our office in Harrogate to Manchester Metropolitan University’s Business School, and we were ready to go.

Human Kinetics have a brilliant range of sport nutrition titles, and we were lucky enough to be representing two authors of ours who were speaking at ISENC, Asker Jeukendrup (author of Sport Nutrition) and Enette Larson-Meyer (author of Plant-Based Sports Nutrition). It was great to chat to them, as well as the wide variety of delegates who came to our stand.

ISENC is known for its global reach, and we talked to a large mix of academics, professionals, and researchers, all of whom either sit at the very tops of their field or are very much heading down that path already. Always an incredibly well-run event, we were treated to delicious and healthy meals for lunch, and — in an effort to appear as healthy as the delegates around us— even managed to come away with some beetroot juice shots and caffeine gum.

Human Kinetics will be at ISENC again in December 2026, but in the meantime, have a look through our Nutrition and Healthy Eating selection here.
