John Jennings

John Jennings is associate professor of visual studies at the University at Buffalo. He is an award-winning graphic novelist, and a curator, designer, and illustrator. He is coauthor of graphic novel The Hole: Consumer Culture, Vol. 1. (Front Forty Press, 2008) and coeditor of Black Comix: African American Independent Comics, Art and Culture (Mark Batty Publisher, 2010). He has also cowritten and had his graphic work featured in exhibit catalogs, including Out of Sequence: Underrepresented Voices in American Comics (Krannert Art Museum, 2009).
