Jack Nisbet

Jack Nisbet is a writer, teacher, and naturalist. He is the author of nine award-winning books on natural history, including Ancient Places: People and Landscape in the Emerging Northwest (Sasquatch, 2016); Purple Flat Top: In Pursuit of a Place (University of Washington Press, 2011); Visible Bones: Journeys through Time in the Columbia River Country (Sasquatch, 2007); and The Mapmaker's Eye: David Thompson on the Columbia Plateau (Washington State University Press, 2005). He lives in Spokane, Washington.
