1. Your Right to Cancel
If you are purchasing as a consumer within the European Union, you have the legal right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days without giving any reason.
For physical products such as books, the withdrawal period expires 14 days after the day on which you (or a third party nominated by you, other than the carrier) receive the goods.
2. How to Exercise Your Right of Withdrawal
To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us of your decision by a clear and unambiguous statement.
You may do this by:
- using the online withdrawal function available on our website; or
- contacting us by email or other written communication.
Under EU law, from 19 June 2026, we provide a clearly labelled and easily accessible online withdrawal function to allow you to cancel your contract quickly and electronically.
This function enables you to:
- submit your withdrawal request; and
- confirm your request via a dedicated confirmation step.
After submission, we will acknowledge receipt of your withdrawal without undue delay on a durable medium (typically by email), including the date and time of your request.
3. Effects of Withdrawal
If you withdraw from this contract, we will reimburse all payments received from you, including the cost of standard delivery (excluding any additional costs arising from your choice of premium delivery), without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the date we are informed of your decision.
We will issue your refund using the same payment method you used for the original transaction, unless otherwise agreed.
We may withhold the refund until:
- we have received the returned books; or
- you have provided proof that you have sent them back,
whichever occurs first.
4. Returning Books
You must return the books to us without undue delay and in any event within 14 days from the date you notify us of withdrawal.
Unless otherwise stated:
- you will be responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods; and
- you must ensure the items are properly packaged to avoid damage in transit.
You are only liable for any loss in value of the goods resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functionality of the books.
5. Important Notes for Books
The right of withdrawal still applies to books, however:
- You are expected to handle books with care.
- If a book is returned damaged (e.g. marked, bent, or worn beyond normal inspection), we may reduce the refund to reflect the diminished value.
Special cases (where relevant)
The right of withdrawal may not apply if:
- the book is custom-made or personalised;
- the product is part of a bundle including digital content already accessed with your consent.
6. Failure to Inform
If we fail to properly inform you of your withdrawal rights, the withdrawal period may be extended by up to 12 months under EU law.
