Partha S. Ghosh (b. 1947) is retired Professor of South Asian Studies at the School of International Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University. Currently he is Senior Fellow at the Institute of Social Sciences, New Delhi. Formerly, Ghosh was a Senior Fellow at the Nehru Memorial Museum and Library, an ICCR Chair Professor at Victoria University (New Zealand), Visiting Professor/ Humboldt Fellow at Heidelberg University, and a Ford Scholar at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He had a long stint as Research Director at the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR). He has authored several books the most recent being the India-South Asia Interface: Religion, Politics and the Wider World (Manohar, 2022).
