J.P. Varshney is a reputed veterinarian with a rich experience of 58 years in the field of Veterinary Medicine .He had been an excellent clinician and teacher who had bagged many Gold medals, Award of Honor, Award of Merit, Best Teacher Award, Award for Canine Excellence, Lifetime Achievement awards etc. He is still serving the profession as Senior Consultant (Veterinary Medicine) at Nandini Veterinary Hospital, Surat (Gujarat). Besides research and clinical publications, he is the author of eleven books on different topics in the field of Veterinary Medicine. Of these, seven books have been published by NIPA, New Delhi.
