Maurits S. Hassankhan is a historian from Suriname specializing in indentured labor, migration, and diaspora, as well as the post-slavery history of Suriname. He is a co-editor of the historical databases on indentured laborers in Suriname and serves as the President of the International Scientific Committee for the Indentured Labour Route Project (ILRP).
