R. Mac Jones is an assistant professor of English in the Extended University at the University of South Carolina. A former editor of Yemassee, Jones, writing as Raster Jones, is the author of poetry appearing in the James Dickey Review,
Town Creek Poetry, and other publications. Ray McManus is an associate professor of English at the University of South Carolina Sumter. McManus is the author of four books of poetry: Punch, Red Dirt Jesus, Left Behind, and Driving through the Country before You Are Born (winner of the South Carolina Poetry Book Award). His poetry and prose have appeared in Los Angeles Review, Arkansas Review, Texas Poetry Review, Hard Lines: An Anthology of Rough South Poetry, State of the Heart: South Carolina Writers on the Places They Love, Volume 2, and other journals and anthologies Nikky Finney is the John H. Bennett, Jr. Chair in Southern Letters and Literature at the University of South Carolina and is the author of four books of poetry--Head Off; Split, winner of the 2011 National Book Award for poetry; The World Is Round; Rice; On Wings Made of Gauze--the and novella Heartwood.
