Tim Lane is a sports broadcaster who has built a dedicated national following since filing his first report for Devonport radio in 1972. During the course of his career, he has covered five Olympic Games, six Commonwealth Games, hundreds of international cricket matches, and too many AFL matches to count. In recent years he has branched out to become a specialist AFL commentator on the Ten Network, while continuing his involvement in ABC Radio's call of Friday Night footy. He also writes for The Age newspaper in Melbourne. Nick Richardson has been a journalist since 1982. In the course of his career he has covered politics, economics and sport for The Bulletin, The Australian and the Herald-Sun. He now teaches journalism at RMIT University and is a columnist for the Herald-Sun, writing an alternative view of news and issues every Friday. His books include Ricky Ponting: The Likely Lad.
